You may or may not know that each month we do a Drink of the Month, something that our bartenders have mixed up to be unique, fun, and flavorful. And this month, bartender Josh Augustin is sharing his recipe with you (in addition to showing his process in the lovely photos by Dawn Sanborn below)! Now go on, celebrate the remaining days of summer by sitting on your patio with this fantastic, elegant drink. (And keep an eye out for future Drinks of the Month!)

Summer’s Last Fling

1oz St. Germain
1/2oz Aperol
1/2oz Fresh lemon juice
1/2oz Cune Rosado
1oz Jaume Serra Cristalino Brut Cava

The process:

Add all ingredients except Cava to mixing glass.

Fill the mixing glass with ice…

…cover with mixing tin,and shake hard for 10 seconds.

Double strain through mesh strainer into chilled coupe glass.

Add cava to glass.

Cut lemon peel chip and squeeze to express oils onto cocktail and rub chip around rim of glass. Place chip into glass to look like a bright yellow sun.

Sit back and enjoy one last taste of summer!
