The new artwork has arrived at Söntés! We are officially launching our Söntés Fall/Winter Gallery Exhibition with an Art Opening and Cocktail Reception this Sunday, September 29, from 2-5 p.m. Light hors d’oeuvres and Art Posterchampagne will be offered.

Picture yourself walking from room to room with a champagne glass in your hand, taking in the artwork, having a conversation with the artists themselves… Now picture that the invitation to this intimate event is free of charge. That’s right: you don’t have to be a diamond sapphire benefactor or fluent in artspeak to attend. Come in and wander, and take in the more than 68 pieces of original artwork that grace the walls and windowsills, from Oils, Acrylics, Pastels, Fiber, Clay, Photography, Mosaics, and Mixed Media, and talk with the artists.

“Our last exhibition was a great success in terms of guest enthusiasm and sales for talented artists in our region that we gladly sought to meet the challenge again,” says Tessa. “This artwork is simply stunning.”Pastel_r_small

The Fall/Winter exhibit features forest scenes and large landscapes of a farm field and of Lake Superior. One wall features a theme of barns, animals, and farm machinery. There are quiet and thoughtful pieces, several energetic abstracts, and exciting colors to be found in fiber city-scapes and an image of flowers done in oil paint. If you find a piece that you simply must have, let us know. Everything is for sale.

“The variety of images and mediums chosen for the Söntés Fall/Winter Gallery Exhibition showcase rural landscapes, black and white photography, as well as an explosion of color,” says Söntés Art Curator Fred Ginocchio. “There is something for all viewers to enjoy.”

The artists are Ingvild Herfindahl, Alyssa Hoerl, Becky Kehrwald, Lori Miller, Glenda Mueller, Julia Helen Rice, LeAnn Gehring-Ryan, James Sherbarth, William Schmidt, Loretta Verbout, Susan Waughtal, and Yumi Yokoyama. All of the artists were chosen by application process, and all live and work in Rochester and the surrounding area, including Kasson, Oronoco, Mankato, Woodbury, Minneapolis, and St. Paul.  Many are award-winning artists who have exhibited their work in Minnesota, Iowa, Maine, Italy, and Japan. There are self-taught artists and university-trained artists with degrees in Fine Arts and Studio Arts.Sun

Join us this Sunday from 2-5 p.m. for an elegant and relaxed afternoon reception, and experience the new artwork through the eyes of the artists.

At Söntés, our house is your house. You’re all on “the list.”
