HeartOh, the legends that surround St. Valentine’s Day and its traditions! From St. Val’s (the patron saint of springtime!) performing of clandestine weddings for soldiers who were forbidden to marry to the UK-originated giving of cards, candy, and flowers on the anniversary of St. Valentine’s burial, let’s face it: We do the craziest things for love.

At Sontés, Chef Trevor’s love of pleasing guests through food has resulted in a passion-inspired 6-course Valentine’s Day menu. See for yourself what that kind of love can do (click here for the Vegetarian Option):

Sontés Valentine’s Day Menu

Course One
Herbed Sunchoke Soup: Creamy purée of sunchokes served with pickled red radishes and fennel

Course Two
Steamed Mussels: Steamed P.E.I. mussels cooked with capers, cornichons, preserved lemon and finish with herb butter and served with grilled bread

 Course Three
Pan-Seared Duck Breast: Thin slices of Au Bon Canard duck breast accompanied by brioche and a pomegranate duck jus

 Course Four
Roasted Acorn Squash Salad: Balsamic vinegar roasted acorn squash served with mixed salad greens toasted pumpkin seeds cured beef and goat cheese

 Course Five
Grilled Flatiron Steak: with lamb bacon wilted kale, potato pavé, roasted root vegetables, and finished with demi-glace
Pan-Seared Halibut: Cast iron seared halibut served with a warm couscous and prosciutto salad, cauliflower puree, roasted root vegetables, and a smoked hollandaise
Roasted Rack of Lamb: Stone-ground mustard-rubbed lamb, lamb bacon wilted kale, potato pavé, roasted root vegetables and finished with a lavender lamb jus

 Course Six
Deconstructed Pecan Pie: Pecan bars served with tart crisp, Chantilly semifreddo and whiskey marinated cherries
Strawberry and Chocolate Crepes: Warm, sweet crepes filled with salt-pressed strawberries and honey, and finished with a French chocolate sauce

Our Valentine’s evening tends to fill up quickly, so reservations are recommended. The cost is $70 per person, or $60 per person for the vegetarian option (tax and gratuity are not included).
